Three public access sites exist on Pelican Lake, two are maintained by SDGFP, the Northwest Lakeside Use Area and Pelican Lake State Recreation Area. The third is maintained by the
City of Watertown with East-Side Access. At the State recreation area you enjoy boating, swimming, the migrating birds and vast numbers of prairie grasses and wildflowers. Winter enthusiasts appreciate the park’s cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing and ice fishing.
